Bandra Fair which is also known as Mount Mary Feast is an 8 day festive event that is celebrated because of the birthday of Mother Mary. It is believed that Mother Mary was born on September 8. Every year Mount Mary Basilica finds a lot of visitors from all across Mumbai.Bandra is seen shining throughout the streets with Mother Mary's grace as it celebrates the feast to “Our Lady of the Mount”. Bandra Fair brings about a Fun & Fair atmosphere with shopping stalls, food stalls, street events, games, amusement rides, etc. Mount Mary Bandra Fair takes place at the vicinity of the Mount Mary Church and in the lanes that leads the way to the church.One of the major reasons why visitors come here is to offer their thanks to Virgin Mary and to pray for their wishes to be fulfilled. A lot of Christian devotees as well as non-christian devotees are seen offering prayers during this festival season. And a lesser reason would be to enjoy the carnival of street food, related events,go shopping through the street, Fun and fair rides like Giant wheel, playground rides, etc. It makes for an enjoyable family outing.

Some of the stalls sell food delicacies such as Mawa Pedha, Home-made Cakes (wine, Plum, walnut, dates), Guava cheese, Fuggias, Kadio Bodia (Goan dish made of sugar and flour), Sorpotel, Vindaloo, channa, Dodol (Goan sweet), etc. You will also see a ring maker at one of these stalls.
These Stalls and Shops at Mount Mary Bandra Fair are prominently seen across the streets and the spirit of the festival goes on till the first stall to the last.
